Deyga Turmeric Healing Mask | Review

I love masking in summers, be it a clay mask or gel mask. They not only give a cooling sensation but also bring multiple benefits for the skin with them. I’ve been using Deyga Turmeric Healing Mask for more than 3 weeks now and can share my thoughts with y’all. Also, I thank the brand Deyga for sponsoring this post.

Price: Rs.600 for 100ml. This is quite affordable if you ask me because the tub is quite huge for the price and will last long.

Storage instructions: To be refrigerated once opened and used within 6 months. This mask needs to be kept away from direct sunlight.

Ingredients:

Deyga Turmeric Healing Mask has pretty minimalist ingredient list.

Vettiver hydrosol ~ soothes skin, reduces inflammation and itching

Aloevera ~ hydrating, calms the skin, soothes sunburn, fights acne

Turmeric ~ has anti-inflammatory & anti-bacterial properties, fights acne, has anti-oxidant properties, helps in healing wounds, helps fight aging by maintaining collagen levels, fades dark spots.

Vegetable glycerine ~ an amazing humectant that helps in retaining water level of the skin

Guar gum ~ thickener

Geogard ECT ~ preservative (certified organic)

The consistency is gel like. To me the colour and the texture looks like aamras (please tell me it looks the same to you as well). It smells of turmeric ~ slightly medicinal but lovely. The packaging isn’t travel friendly as there are chances of spilling because of the consistency. The applicator doesn’t come with the packaging.

Suitable for ~ all skin types. However a patch test is recommended.

How to use?

  • Wash your face with a face wash.
  • Tap dry.
  • Apply Deyga Turmeric Healing Mask (a thin layer)
  • Keep it for 7-10 minutes (though the packaging says 30 minutes but keeping this mask for that long feels drying and it butchers the feel of it).
  • Wash it off with plain water.

I really enjoy the cooling sensation it gives (because need to be stored in refrigerator) especially when used after a long tiring day. Feels so so relaxing.

My verdict on Deyga Turmeric Healing Mask:

I have been using this mask for over 3 weeks now. I usually used this twice a week but now that the weather is so hot, I used it on alternate days & boy! enjoyed it so much. With a regular use, I found my skin has a glow (but temporary), feels soft, the pigmentation has started fading (slightly) and acne definitely started to diminish. I don’t allow the mask to dry completely hence use it for 7-10 minutes and then wash it off.

There’s one con though ~ it stains! Immediately after washing off the mask, an evident yellow stain is seen. But the stain is temporary and fades away gradually. So, I’d recommend the mask to be used at night time because by the next morning, the staining would’ve gone completely. Please avoid using this mask immediately before stepping out (party, meeting, occasion, anything) otherwise you are going to regret it.

All in all, I am enjoying this mask to the fullest during this sweltering weather. I definitely see myself repurchasing it in the future.
