Sonnet Wellness skincare | Review

I am always curious to find out new skincare brands and share my reviews on their products. So when I was asked to try out an entire routine by Sonnet Wellness, I couldn’t deny. I am sharing my thoughts on their products after using them for more than 2 weeks.

A little about the brand: Sonnet Wellness is an Indian brand. They are vegan and cruelty free, all their products are clinically tested & FDA approved. Their products include skincare products and biotin gummies. All their skincare products contain the goodness of prebiotics and probiotics (we’ll talk about them later).

This nicely curated box is called AM:PM skincare ritual and it contains all products that the brand has launched. The MRP is Rs.6595 but currently it is at a discounted rate of Rs. 1690 (launch offer).

You can check out this box here. The box contains a cleanser, toner, face mask, serum and a moisturizer.

All Sonnet Wellness products contain probiotics and prebiotics. Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate (probiotic & prebiotic) keeps the microbiome in balance while increasing skin tone and elasticity, minimizing wrinkles, providing deep hydration and increasing cell turnover.

Clean It Off Face Wash

It is a gel based cleanser. You need a pea sized amount for one time use. The tube is 100ml and considering the amount used each time, it is going to last a couple months minimum. The cleanser lathers decently and cleanses well. My skin didn’t feel dry post wash. It didn’t irritate my skin or aggravate acne. This is a gentle cleanser which can be used in mornings as well. It has a very very mild cooling sensation because of menthol which makes it fun to use especially during hot and humid summer time.

Best suited for: all skin types

Dab It On Toner

This spray bottle is heaven! I thoroughly enjoyed using this during Ahmedabad ki garmi (read temperature already touching 44 degrees). Though a toner, I also used it as a facial spray from time to time. It helps in balancing skin pH levels after cleansing, has pore tightening effect and is hydrating slash soothing to the skin. It doesn’t sting or irritates the skin at all. You can either spray it all across the face or splash some on a cotton pad and then swipe, choice is yours.

Best suited for: all skin types

Smear It On Face Mask

This is a clay based mask, the kind where you can directly scoop out product from the jar and apply on face. It has a thick cream texture. It doesn’t get dry like multani mitti which cracks up while making slightest facial expression. In short, it doesn’t irritate the skin upon drying and washes off easily. My skin instantly feels refreshed and not overly dry. In the long run it’ll take care of excess sebum & clogging of pores and removal of dead skin cells. This is supposed to be used once a week to get the best results.

Best suited for: all skin types

Rub It In Serum

This serum has slightly thinner texture than a lotion and is milky white in colour. The serum is both hydrating and nourishing. For people with oily skin, this can suffice as a moisturizer during hotter months. If layered generously, it does feel heavy and makes you sweat more. My skin felt hydrated and plump. It contains one of my favourite ingredients Niacinamide which helps in skin brightening and controlling sebum production. The packaging isn’t apt for the texture as the dropper hardly dispenses any product. A pump packaging would’ve been much better. Nonetheless, the serum in itself is quite good if you are looking for something that provides brightening-soothing properties and keeps skin plump.

Best suited for: dry, normal and combination skin types

Soak It In Face Cream

This has a thicker texture and provides intense nourishment. It’ll be a little too much for oily skinned people especially in hot and humid weather. I’ve been using this in Ahmedabad ki garmi and found it a bit heavy for my liking. It also makes me sweat more if I step out. I limited myself in using this ony during night time when looking greasy/sweaty isn’t bothersome. My skin feels nourished and it takes care of dry patches around mouth/nose area.

Best suited for: dry, normal and combination skin types

If you ask me, I’d say go blindly for the cleanser, toner and facemask as they are pretty much safe bets for all. The as per your skin type and the kind of weather where you live, you can opt for serum and moisturizer. All in all, I really enjoyed using Sonnet Wellness products on a daily basis.

Note: Always make sure to do a patch test before incorporating any new product in your routine.
