I always thought of Bioderma as a luxury brand because all their products were priced around Rs.1000 or above. Many of you have been sharing the same notion as mine, I bet. But now, let me tell you that they have a few products in affordable range as well (read under Rs.500). Let’s begin with Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Micellar Cleansing gel. I have almost emptied this tube and feel so satisfied! Sometimes, emptying a good (and affordable) product gives an immense satisfaction because you know you’ll be repurchasing it without making a hole in your pocket.

Price: Rs.449 for 100ml. This is an amazing price point considering the quality of the cleanser. You can usually get it for lesser price during sales.

This cleanser has a runny gel like texture and comes in a tube packaging. Sometimes, due to its runny consistency, you end up squeezing out more amount than required. If asked, I’d suggest a bottle with pump packaging for a cleanser with such runny consistency.

Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Micellar Cleansing gel uses micellar technology to cleanse the skin but in a gel formula. To know how micellar technology works, ready my post here. It contains coco glucoside-glyceryl oleate; an active ingredient that mimics the skin structure. This cleanser helps strengthen skin barrier and reinforces the tolerance threshold of sensitive skin.

My verdict on Bioderma Sensibio Soothing Micellar Cleansing gel:

I love this cleanser! It is mild, cleanses well yet gentle on the skin and doesn’t make my skin dry post wash. It didn’t irritate my eyes even once and never caused any breakout. My skin always felt clean and soothed along with a calming effect. I’ve used and enjoyed this cleanser both during day and night time. This tube lasted me little more than a couple months despite using it twice a day. A cleanser/facewash is supposed to clean the skin and not remove makeup so don’t expect this to do that! Always double cleanse at night (use micellar water, cleansing oil/balm, bi-phase makeup remover, anything before using facewash). However, this can take care of mild makeup like compact powder and sunscreen but I’ll still recommend you double cleanse. Go! and make a habit of double cleansing. It is for your own good.

I highly recommend you try this cleanser out and I am definitely repurchasing as well. This is going to suit all skin types.

Cons:

• not a huge fan of tube packaging owing to the runny consistency
