Plum Chamomile & White Tea skin revival face wash | Review

When you hear of Chamomile and White tea, all you can imagine is calming and soothing. And this was the exact reason why I purchased Plum Chamomile & White Tea skin revival face wash. My tube is on the verge of getting empty, hence penning my thoughts before I throw the empty tube away.

Plum Chamomile

Price: ₹350 for 75ml. The price point is pretty reasonable and this quantity will last you around 2 months, minimum.

This is a soap-free gel formula which has anti-oxidant properties. There are scrub particles (brand claims them to be soft cellulose beads) in the gel which provide some physical exfoliation. To be honest, the scrub particles are pretty harsh and will irritate the skin if given even the slightest amount of pressure while massaging. Luckily, the scrub particles are pretty less in number, so if you rub don’t too harsh, you probably won’t face any problem.

White tea extract ~ Being especially rich in antioxidants, white tea extracts helps the skin fight oxidative damage that results from sun exposure

Olive extract ~ has been scientifically proven to fight sun damage by inhibiting an enzyme that degenerates skin tissue.

Plum Chamomile & White Tea skin revival face wash lathers decently, cleanses well and doesn’t irritate the eyes. It has a mild soothing fragrance to it. The tube packaging is apt for the gel texture and travel friendly as well. The formula is 100% vegan and the packaging is recyclable.

My Verdict on Plum Chamomile & White Tea skin revival face wash:

I was immediately put-off by the harsh scrub particles as I am not fond of physical exfoliation. The scrub particles (though very less) can be irritating to the skin and active acne. My acne hurt a lot whenever I used this face wash. With the passage of time, I learned not to massage it much on my skin. I created lather right in my hands and very gently rubbed across the face. This way the scrub particles didn’t irritate my skin/acne. I didn’t face any issue in using this face wash when my skin was free from acne. This didn’t make my skin overly dry post wash.

While making this post I was checking out product details on Plum website and I found that this face wash is suitable for Combination, Normal & Slightly Dry Skin. It isn’t suitable for Very Dry, Oily & Acne-prone Skin. Luckily I didn’t face any breakout or irritation after using this face wash. In fact, my skin felt well cleansed and supple. However, I won’t be repurchasing this owing to the harsh scrub particles.
