Purity Ultra light moisturizer | Review

If there is a moisturizer that I’ve been using for more than a year and a half then, you know, it has to be good! I easily get bored with products, but there are a few exceptions and Purity Ultra light moisturizer is one of them. I had purchased this moisturizer in Kuala Lumpur Sephora last year in February and it is still with me. Read on to know what makes this moisturizer so special.

Purity Ultra light moisturizer

Purity Ultra light moisturizer retails for USD25 and we get 141ml product. The price might look a bit steep but then we are getting almost 3 times the regular size. (normally moisturizers come in standard size packaging of 50g)

Availability: Sorry folks, the brand is not available in India. You can check out with Instagram resellers but I am not sure.

People outside India can check this out on the brand’s website here.

Purity Ultra light moisturizer

The texture is very lightweight and somewhat lotion-like. It gets absorbed easily on the skin and leaves a satin finish imparting long-lasting hydration. Purity Ultra light moisturizer can be used both during daytime and night. Hence if you are travelling and need to carry just one moisturizer, then this should be it!

Ingredients:

aqua/water/eau, cyclopentasiloxane, bis-peg-18 methyl ether dimethyl silane, glycerin, butylene glycol, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, phenoxyethanol, stearic acid, tocopheryl acetate, salvia hispanica seed oil, panthenol, parfum/fragrance, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, linalool, bht, ascorbyl glucoside, disodium edta, sodium hydroxide, peg-8, tocopherol, sodium hyaluronate, lecithin, alcohol denat., geraniol, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, pantolactone, ascorbyl palmitate, citronellol, camellia sinensis leaf extract, coffea arabica (coffee) seed extract, pongamia pinnata seed extract, benzyl benzoate, limonene, ascorbic acid, angelica archangelica root extract, citrus aurantium amara (bitter orange) peel extract, maltodextrin, citric acid, magnesium aluminum silicate, xanthan gum, caprylyl glycol, sclerotium gum, sorbic acid, fd&c yellow no. 5 (ci 19140), fd&c yellow no. 6 (ci 15985).

The list might look overwhelming with such long list and that’s okay. There are many moisturizing ingredients, humectants, anti-oxidants (Vitamin E derivatives), various extracts & Vitamin C derivatives. In addition to these, please note, it also contains added fragrance, few potential sensitizers and alcohol denat.

I really hope you understand this colour coded system. For eg. moisturizing ingredients are marked in green that means all ingredients that are marked in green in the list are moisturizing in nature.

Purity Ultra light moisturizer

Purity Ultra light moisturizer has a noticeable but pleasant fragrance. It doesn’t linger but you’ll get a clear whiff of it while applying. I use 2 pumps (sometimes 2 and a half) for one-time use. It has been almost a year and a half and I’ve been using this moisturizer on and off* and some of it is still left which will last me 2 more weeks.

*On and off because I have to try other moisturizers in between (life of a beauty blogger) and sometimes I get bored, so I switch to another product (life of a person with an erratic mind, lol).

My verdict on Purity Ultra light moisturizer:

If Purity Ultra light moisturizer had to be described in just one word, it would’ve been supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, meaning wonderful. I am really fond of this moisturizer and keep reaching out to it every now and then. This has accompanied me during all my outings last year. It moisturizes well without being greasy and imparts hydration that lasts all day. During cold weather, I made use out of it by applying slightly more. Despite having alcohol denat, it doesn’t feel drying or imparts any tightness upon application. I have oily acne-prone skin which is dehydrated and find it’s consistency to be super apt for my skin type. Never it has clogged my pores or broken me out. In fact, I’ve used it on inflamed skin with active acne and it hasn’t given any kind of sensitivity. I highly recommend this moisturizer and wish the brand launches in India soon!

Meant for ~ all skin types except those having dry/very dry skin.

Not meant for ~ if you can’t tolerate fragrance in your products or are allergic to any of the mentioned sensitizers above.
