Crash Landing on You | Kdrama review

One fine day my sister out of the blue asked me to watch a series called Crash Landing on You on Netflix. I wasn’t much interested because I was never a ‘series’ fan. Who has the time right? But then she started pestering me every single day about watching it. One fine day I got hit with fever, had nothing to do so finally started watching and today, after having watched almost 30 plus kdramas, it is still my favourite!

Crash Landing on You

Main leads:

Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) – a young successful lady from South Korea who owns her own company. She is talkative, independent and akdoo (as some in her company might call).

Ri Jyeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin) – a captain in North Korean military. He is helpful, loving and keeps his people close.

My favourite scene.. IYKYK

Story at a glance:

Yoon Se Ri takes a parachute ride and somehow ends up in North Korea. Here she encounters Captain Ri Jyeong Hyeok who decides to save her from being questioned by military people and other authorities.

Will Se Ri get out of North Korea or she is going to be in North Korea for the rest of her life? Will she get caught? How do they fall in love? Watch the series to get answers to all these questions.

The second leads and other cast is phenomenal. Their acting to costumes to the sets (especially the small North Korean town) are very realistic.

The villain Cheol cheol gang has a strong presence. He alone has the capability to churn up the lives of many characters.

Hyun Bin oppa 😍

This is a beautiful kdrama with lots of aw moments. Ri Jyeong Hyeok is an eye candy. Every time he is on screen you heart is going to melt. Secretly, you’ll wish him to be your life partner (guaranteed!). I am married yet I wished that. 😜

I wasn’t fully satisfied with the ending though. It kept me yearning for more (tbh).

My rating: 9.5/10

Genre: Swoon-worthy Romcom with a little bit of crime

Available on Netflix: 16 episodes each one hour long

Language: Korean, Hindi

I’ve already watched it thrice and planning to watch again in future.

Which kdrama you want me to review next? Let me know in the comments.
