St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash | Review
If you are following me for a while, by now, you already know my love for vanilla fragrance. I can pick almost anything and everything having a hint of vanilla scent. So, one fine day while scrolling on Nykaa, when I noticed St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash on Nykaa I instantly knew I had to grab one. I picked this simply out of the blue, without looking for reviews or ingredients. Keep on reading how my gamble turned out.
St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash retails for Rs.350 and we get 400ml product. It has an expiry of 36 months but don’t worry, this is not going to last that long. The fragrance will force you to use it daily, literally!
St.Ives products are available on Nykaa at reasonable price. You can also find them on Flipkart & Amazon but at an exorbitant price) Also, I checked at my local pharmacy and they also stock few St. Ives products.
The bottle is pretty huge and very convenient to use, even in the shower. The cap opens easily with wet hands and the bottle opening dispenses correct amount of body wash as desired. Very little amount of body wash is needed for the entire body. It also lathers really well and cleanses without drying out the skin. I am using it in colder weather here and still my skin feels soft post bath.
The ingredient list is pretty decent for a body wash. It does have SLES which helps in lathering but at the same time it also has moisturizing & nourishing ingredients like Glycerin, Shea butter, Cacao seed butter, Jojoba butter & Vanilla seed extracts. It is free from Parabens which is a plus point.
The texture of St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash is towards runny side and has a pearly cream shade. It has a mesmerizing (slightly coconut-y version of) vanilla fragrance. I bet, you can’t sniff just once. I seriously bet!
My verdict on St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash:
I love this body wash to the moon and back! I have been a soap person pretty much my entire life, but this is an exception. I use this body wash every other day because I like it that way. The fragrance lingers on for a while and when paired with a body lotion of similar scent, the effect prolongs. My body skin is sensitive and very very dry. Not many bath products suit it. Hence I love St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash even more. Neither did it irritate my skin nor render it dry. It is affordable, lathers well, doesn’t dry the skin and smells heavenly. You cannot possibly ask for more from a body wash!
