Dr. Sheth’s Basic brightening daily cleanser | Indian skincare brand

Being a beauty lover and blogger, I tend to try lot of products. But the most I try are cleansers. I have rarely repeated a cleanser, there are a few exceptions though. But seldom did I come across a cleanser that my skin would love for a morning cleanse. I usually prefer mild yet effective cleansers and during my quest for one, I stumbled upon the brand Dr. Sheth’s. Read on to find out my experience with Dr. Sheth’s Basic brightening daily cleanser.

Dr. Sheth’s is an Indian brand formulated especially for Indian skin. You should definitely consider checking out their website here.

Price: Rs.375 for 50ml & Rs.699 for 100ml. I got the 50ml bottle as the latter, was out of stock everywhere!

Availability: Dr. Sheth’s products can be purchased from their website and from Nykaa.

Dr. Sheth’s Basic brightening daily cleanser has pretty basic packaging. The bottle is made of sturdy plastic and has a pump mechanism with a cap. There is absolutely no chance of spilling and this small bottle is perfect for travelling.

As confirmed with the brand, this cleanser has a pH of 5.5 which is ideal. It is very important to use pH balanced products in order to keep your skin and its acid mantle healthy.

They have mentioned only actives in the ingredient list all of which are having brightening, hydrating and repairing properties. The texture of Dr. Sheth’s Basic brightening daily cleanser is towards runnier side. There are pinkish micro-beads suspended in it which don’t feel harsh at all. I don’t think they provide any exfoliation which, in actual, is a plus point for me (By now you should already know that I’ve shunned physical exfoliators). It has a fragrance which I can’t relate with anything and is not overpowering.

My verdict on Dr. Sheth’s Basic brightening daily cleanser:

For the first couple of days, I was using it as a night cleanser but then I had to add actives to my routine hence I moved it to AM routine. And I am so glad I did! The cleanser is very mild yet cleanses so well. It doesn’t dry out the skin or gives that stretchy feeling. Morning cleansers should be mild as your face has nothing but piled on skincare from the last night and ton of sebum. This cleanser has the quality of removing all sebum without irritating the skin’s natural moisture. I am not much into the brightening part as claimed by the brand hence can’t comment on that. I have almost ran out of the bottle and getting the 100ml one for sure!

Irrespective of age, skintype, weather or skin problems, you should consider trying this cleanser at least once.  I know it is a bit pricey but its definitely worth the money. I highly recommend this.
