Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip | Day 25 | 31DaysOfNude | #swatchOber

Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 25 is Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Bumble.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip

Price: USD6.50 for 3.2g product.

Availability: Colourpop products are available on Amazon & Flipkart but I cannot comment about their authenticity. Also, they are overpriced at the same time. Hence I suggest you to either get directly from their website Colourpop.com or trusted Instagram seller.

Packaging: It comes in a generic colourpop packaging~plastic tube which reflects the lipstick shade. The wand is long with a regular doe-foot applicator.

Texture & Pigmented: Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip has a liquid like consistency and applies evenly. It is intensely pigmented and renders full coverage in just one swipe. The lipstick dries in a matter of seconds to a powder matte finish.

The shade Bumble is a blend of brown, pink & peach. It suits my complexion a lot. This shade will flatter fair to medium skin tones. This too, has a chemical fragrance to it.

My verdict on Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip:

To be honest, I love the shade more than the formula. I am not fond of drying lipsticks and that is the reason I don’t reach out for Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip on a daily basis. But for shorter occasions like movies or outing with friends, this is my first choice. The formula feels drying on the lips but I can bare with it for around 3 hours. After that it starts to get uncomfortable and pills from the inner side of the lips. This is still better than Sugar liquid lipsticks, I’d say! The staying power is 5-6 hours, easily. If you are looking for an ultra matte finish, totally transfer-proof formula and don’t mind moderate dry lips then you can give this range a try.
