Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 2 is MAC Satin Lipstick in the shade Paramount.
Price: Rs.1500 for 3gm product.
Packaging: MAC Satin Lipstick literally has the shape of a bullet. Infact, all traditional MAC lipsticks have the same black case which is not very glossy but does reflect light. It becomes very difficult to distinguish the shades if you have more than one MAC bullet lipstick.
Texture & pigmentation: This lipstick glides on smoothly and applies evenly. It is quite pigmented and provides full coverage. The finish obtained is satin-y, not glossy but definitely not matte. This feels very comfortable and doesn’t dry out the lips.
The shade Paramount is a rich deep brown which will flatter all skin tones. It might look bit dark on the lighter ones but will turn out to be a beautiful nude for deeper skin tones.
My verdict on MAC Satin Lipstick:
I reach out for this whenever I want to go nude on lips but still show a lot of colour. Clearly, this shade goes a bit dark on me but I love it. It stays on for around 4 hours. It is not transfer proof but it does not bleed or smudge on its own. It has a sweet scent that all MAC lipsticks tend to have. If you are looking for comfortable formula, satin finish and a gorgeous brown, then I am sure you are going to love MAC Satin Lipstick Paramount as much as I do.
