I know this was a long due post but, trust me, it took me forever to make the video. And now that is done, I am ready with my post!! Let’s talk about Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour a little so that you can decide for yourself whether these are worth buying or not.
Price: Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour are priced at INR1700.
Shades: These are available in 20 shades out of which I got 3. The ones I got are Babe, Plum and Punch.
Availability: Bobbi Brown products are available at their stores and online at Nykaa exclusively.
Texture: These have a balmy texture which glides on very smoothly on the lips. They are a perfect change from “drying liquid lipsticks” trend which is going on these days. The finish is creamy which shines almost like a gloss. There’s no issue of drying lips or accentuating lip lines.
Pigmentation: These aren’t super pigmented. Multiple swipes are needed to get visible colour on the lips. Even after that, my pigmented lips do peek through.
Staying power: This is the only con. Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour stay for maximum 3 hours after which they fade on their own.
This is a muted pink shade which has become a cult favourite on the internet. To be honest, this is my least favourite shade out of the three. Babe stays for a little less than 3 hours. This shade, in particular, applies a bit dry as seen in the picture. This shade will not flatter those with pigmented lips as the pigmentation will overpower the lovely pink hues. It can be a perfect nude for those with naturally pink lips.
Will suit ~ fair to medium skintones.
This is my most favourite shade out of the lot. Despite being named Plum, this shade is a combination of (very little) mauve and (more) brown. It is a perfect nude for my skin tone and applies very smoothly, unlike Babe. This shade imparts more pigmentation and stays slightly longer than 3 hours.
Will suit ~ this is a universally flattering shade!
This is a pinkish-red shade which looks very pretty. Because of the extremely creamy formula, this shade is a bit difficult to apply without a liner. Also one has to be very cautious as the lipstick slips with the slightest touch. This shade, in particular, fades with a slight stain.
Will suit ~ This is a universally flattering shade!
My verdict on Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour:
These lipsticks are very comfortable on the lips and the formula is very creamy too. Due to the formula, these are neither transfer proof nor long-lasting. According to me, these are over-priced for the formula we get. If you just want to enjoy luxury lipsticks then you’ll definitely enjoy these. But if you are expecting a lot owing to the price, then get ready to be disappointed. I knew before-hand hence my expectations weren’t much. I reach out to these whenever my lips are tired of drying matte lipsticks. All in all, I am quite happy with all my 3 shades.
