Hello my Lovelies! Nykaa launched their eye pencils sometime back and instantly they became everyone’s favourite. Having read all amazing reviews, I couldn’t resist in buying one of them. So. let’s talk about Nykaa Glamoreyes Eye pencil in the shade Teal spell.
Price: Rs.450 for 1.2g product. It has a shelf life of 2 years. (Nykaa never displays MRP on their packaging. I mean, Why?!)
Shades: Nylaa Glamoreyes eye pencil comes in total 5 shades. I have the shade Teal Spell. (I am pretty much smitten by Azure Charm as well, might pick it up pretty soon.)
Availability: Online at Nykaa’s website and in Nykaa stores only.
Packaging: It comes in traditional pencil which needs to be sharpened. It’s sad that it doesn’t come with a sharpener at this price. I don’t mind conventional pencils these days because this prevents drying up of the product. The pencil is also colour coded with the shade which makes it easy to locate it from a stash.
Pencils with twist up functionality are exposed to air all the time, hence they tend to dry up more quickly. Whereas, conventional pencils only have their tip exposed whereas the entire product is kind of sealed. Hence they tend to stay in their form for longer.
Pigmentation: This shade is very well pigmented. It imparts good colour in single swipe. For more intensity, two swipes are more than enough.
Usage: This can be used both as an eye liner and kajal. It looks good both ways.
Efficacy: Good thing about this pencil is that it is smudge proof to a great extent (hardly fades after multiple light rubbing). It doesn’t budge at all, be it lash line or water line, though it fades a little over the course of time. It is pretty much water proof.
Intense color payoff: Yes!
Lasts upto 14 hours: Haven’t tried for that long but it does stay put for a decent amount of time.
Waterproof & smudgeproof: Yes!
My verdict on Nykaa Glamoreyes eye pencil:
I absolutely love the shade, pigmentation and staying power. It’s not an everyday kind of a shade but is worth for day or night occasions. I have worn the eye pencil both ways (on lashline and waterline) and found that it stays longer on lashline as opposed to waterline. On lower lashline, you might need to pair it up with a darker shade of kajal, to make it look more intense. The formula glides on super smoothly providing an even stroke in just one swipe. It hasn’t irritated my eyes at all. I am in love with this and will recommend to everyone. I am looking forward to buy more shades from the range.
Until next time, stay beautiful & keep smiling!
