Hauls & Empties

Will I repurchase? Trash Bag-Products I’ve emptied

Hello! World. As the title suggests, today I shall be discussing the products that I’ve emptied recently. Finishing up a product is an achievement in itself, for me! Because I tend to get bored in between and switch to another product and by the time I come back, most of the times, the expiry date has been crossed. So I’ve now put up a resolution of not wasting any product and emptying it right to the bottom.

Without going in any particular order, the empty bottles are about to be listed:

.1. IHT Natural Hair Loss Therapy Shampoo

The shampoo claims to be SLES, Paraben & Phthalate free but is ineffective in removing oil from scalp even after washing twice. Doesn’t lather at all and squeaky cleanliness shouldn’t be expected from this product.

Will I repurchase? NO!

2. Cipla’s Saslic Facewash

This is my holy grail when it comes to keeping acne at bay! I’ve emptied as many as 5 bottles now. Completely effective and worth every single penny!

Will I repurchase? Yes, forever & ever!

3. Patanjali Protein Hair conditioner

I had many expectations from this conditioner but it literally broke my heart. It also contains Silicone compounds. My hair didn’t feel strong even after using the product for more than 10 washes. Plus, it made them limp (which is very very rare because nothing  in this whole wide world weighs my hair down).

Will I repurchase? Never!

4. VLCC Papaya & Apricot Face scrub

Again, I was very excited to use this as it says it is meant for sensitive skin and can be used daily. But the granules in the scrub are so small, in fact so tiny, that the entire purpose of scrubbing seems a fail. It doesn’t exfoliate properly. It is true to its claim of suiting sensitive skin, though.

Will I repurchase? Nope.

5. Clean & Clear Pimple clearing face wash

I am absolutely in love with this face wash! This, along with Saslic has helped me a lot in clearing out acne from my face. I almost swear by these when it comes to face washes. In between, I keep trying other brands, but these two have earned a permanent place on my bathroom shelf.

Will I repurchase? Yes!

6. Nail art stamping kit

I was so excited after watching you-tube videos of nail art that I literally ran to the nearest beauty store and bought the only stamping kit available. I paid 250Rs for this kit and regretted every penny of it. This is a useless product which works with no nail paint whatsoever. The design never reflects upon the rubber stamp. Advice & Note to self: Never buy a local stamping kit, instead invest in some good brand.

Will I repurchase? Will not even think about it in my dreams.

7. Biotique Bio Aloe vera Face & body sun lotion-SPF 30

I completed the bottle just because of my resolution of not wasting any product. I don’t know whether it’s just me but this sun lotion left whitish powder like particles post application which even loads of moisturiser underneath couldn’t prevent. I’ve included the picture so that you can have an idea of what I am trying to say. Might work out for others but didn’t fare in my case.

Will I repurchase? Nope.

8. Lotus Herbals Sun Block cream SPF 30

This was the second brand I bought, first being Lakme, in sunscreens. I’ve finished 2 tubes till now. It provides good sun protection and doesn’t dissolve away in sweat which is a plus point BUT it is not waterproof as it claims. You will definitely get tanned if you are going to stay in water and sun. Apart from this, it is an excellent sun block. It also comes with higher SPF values.

Will I repurchase? Yes!

SO, these were my empty products for now. Some were usual buys while others were a trial. I think that’s the only way to find out what will suit your skin and what will not. I hope this post will help you in deciding what to buy and what to pass.
