Usually, shampoo is something I don’t splurge on as they tend to get finish quickly and don’t even stay in contact with the hair for long enough to do anything. Their main function should be cleansing and spending more money just for that doesn’t seem logical to me. I’d rather spend my money on conditioner and reap the benefits. However, call it curiosity, when weDo products launched on Nykaa, I was very intrigued to try out at least one of them. Hence I picked a mini variant of weDo Moisture & Shine Shampoo to try out. Though crazy expensive, is it good enough? Continue reading to find out…
Price: Rs.950 for 100ml. The full sized variant is of 300ml and retails for Rs.2100.

Coming to the product, it comes in a plastic bottle. There is no dispenser, just a wide opening which makes it very difficult to control the amount of product. The shampoo has runny gel like texture that has the golden colour of honey. It has a very mild herbaceous scent to it.
This is a sulphate-free low foam shampoo with Rooibos Extract as the main active. It helps prevent hair loss & help remove dead skin cells that block hair follicles and prevent hair from growing. Rooibos contains minerals such as zinc, calcium, copper and potassium which are essential for hair growth.
Ingredient list:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Maltodextrin, Parfum/Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Polyquaternium-10, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Sodium Acetate, Sodium Chloride, Tocopherol, Sodium Citrate.
The ingredient list is indeed minimal!
My thoughts on weDo Moisture & Shine Shampoo:
I had high hopes considering the price but all in vain. This shampoo hardly lathers and hence you end up using much more product. This 100ml bottle lasted for only 4 washes (and my hair ain’t even that long!). This was a real bummer. I didn’t notice any change in my hair post wash, in fact I was only worried that I was able to use a shampoo worth Rs.950 for only 4 washes (meaning approx. Rs.250 per wash!). It’s better to visit a salon for shampoo and blow dry in the same price. And if by chance you’ve oiled your hair, forget that you’re ever able to generate some lather out of this shampoo.
The brand claims that this shampoo is ideal for normal or damaged hair and will also work for colour treated hair. However, I’d ask you to skip this one and invest in some other shampoo with better cleansing ability. Disappointment is to an another level for this one.
Concluding my thoughts. I hope you liked the post and if you did, do consider subscribing to my blog. Show some love by liking, sharing and commenting your views/thoughts. Until next time, stay beautiful & keep smiling!
