Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 27 is PAC Retro Matte Gloss in the shade number 06 Fuzzbuzz.

Price: Rs.550 for 6.5ml product.

Availability: Amazon, Nykaa & PAC stores.

Packaging: PAC Retro Matte Gloss comes in a sturdy plastic black coloured tube the bottom of which reflects the shade. The wand is of a medium length and has a regular doe-foot applicator.

Texture & pigmentation: To make things very clear, this is not a gloss but a legit liquid lipstick! It has a liquid-y consistency and provides full coverage in a single swipe. It dries almost instantly after which it becomes smudge-proof and transfer-proof. The finish obtained is ultra-matte. The formula reminds me of Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip.

The shade 06 Fuzzbuzz is a peachy nude which will flatter fair to medium skin tones. (I am around NC40 in MAC and I don’t think this will suit skin tones beyond NC41).

My verdict on PAC Retro Matte Gloss:

To be honest, I am not so fond of the formula but I love the shade. This lipstick is pretty drying for my liking, though I can still bare with it for the initial 2-3 hours. The shade suits my complexion and can be worn alone or can be paired with a smokey eye. You need to have scrubbed-moisturized lips before applying this lipstick other wise it is not going to look good. It stays as long as you are willing to keep it on your lips. If you are looking for ultra matte finish, intense pigmentation, super long staying power and don’t mind the dryness then do give PAC Retro Matte Gloss a try.
