Ruby’s Organics Lipstick | Day 23 | 31DaysOfNude | #swatchOber
Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 23 is Ruby’s Organics Lipstick in the shade Apricot.
Price: Rs.990 for 3.7gm product.
Availability: Nykaa & Ruby’s Organics website. I haven’t seen the brand in stores yet.
Features of Ruby’s Organics Lipstick: This unique baby carries all the benefits of a lip balm but wears and stays like a lipstick. The
semi-mattecreamy finish colours are made to suit everybody. The moisturizing butter of Mango and Shea help soften lips and are combined with a rich blend of antioxidant and oils of Almond and Castor. 100% Vegetarian. No Parabens. No Petroleum. No Alcohol. No Artificial Fragrances. No Chemical Preservatives. No Heavy Metals. No Animal testing. You can read more about the brand here.
Packaging: Ruby’s Organics Lipstick initially came in a crayon form (when I had purchased) but now it comes in a bullet case. The shade name and quantity is still the same. The packaging of the lip crayon is very flimsy and the quality of plastic feels cheap, the lip crayon will not even survive one fall to the floor.
Texture & pigmentation: Ruby’s Organics Lipstick is very creamy and feels just like a balm on the lips. The pigmentation is kind of medium, decent enough to provide an even finish on pigmented lips. The lipstick is extremely rich and keeps the lips moisturized throughout. It provides a creamy finish.
The shade Apricot is a light brown with lots of pink and hints of peach which will flatter majority skin tones. Also, it has a sweet tempting smell which I absolutely adore.
My verdict on Ruby’s Organics Lipstick:
This lipstick is perfect for days when you are not willing to go for a matte dry feeling. The shade not only suits my complexion but it also helps in keeping my lips hydrated and moisturized. The staying power is around 3 hours and I am not complaining here because reapplication is not a hassle. I keep sniffing the bullet because I loooove the fragrance. If you are looking for a moisturizing lipstick with a creamy finish along with natural organic ingredients which will take care of your lips then definitely give this range a try. I look at Ruby’s Organics Lipstick as a lip treatment rather than just a regular lipstick.
