Revlon Matte Balm | Day 19 | 31DaysOfNude | #swatchOber
Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 19 is Revlon Matte Balm in the shade Sultry.
Price: Rs.1095 for 2.7g product.
Availability: Amazon, Nykaa, Jabong & Revlon counters.
Packaging: Revlon Matte Balm comes in a plastic colour-coded case with a twist up mechanism. The packaging reminds me a bigger version of a lipbalm.
Texture & pigmentation: The texture of Revlon Matte Balm is very creamy and glides on the lips like a legit balm. The finish obtained is like that of a creamy lipstick. The formula is very hydrating. This shade is quite pigmented and renders almost full coverage on my pigmented lips.
The shade Sultry is a gorgeous plum shade which is apt for everyday wear. It smells of mint and also tastes similar.
My verdict on Revlon Matte Balm:
To be honest, this is not at all matte (at least not initially when applied). Revlon Matte Balm feels like a hydrating lipstick in the initial couple of hours. It starts drying later on and turns (kind of) matte and transfer-proof with passage of time. Overall staying power of Revlon Matte Balm is around 4 hours. I’ve used this lipstick day in and out for my office wear as it feels very comfortable and reapplication is also hassle-free. If you are looking for a very pigmented balm like lipstick and are willing to shell out some extra money then this is a great option to try.
