Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 7 is Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade Icon.

Price: Rs.1650 for 5ml.

Availability: Huda Beauty products are exclusively available on Nykaa.com. I recommend not getting them from anywhere else, especially if they are available at a cheaper price.

Packaging: Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick comes in a frosted plastic tube which reflects the shade. The packaging gives a luxurious feel and the liquid lipstick feels heavy in the hands. The wand is very long and has a slightly slant tip applicator which helps in applying the lipstick nicely.

Texture & pigmentation: The texture of Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick is quite liquid-y and renders full coverage in a couple of swipes. The lipstick takes a minute or two to dry down to a comfortable matte formula. It doesn’t turn powder matte because when you press your lips together you get a very slight sticky feeling. This shade in particular stays comfortable the entire day.

Icon is a perfect mixture of pink, peach & brown. This will suit a majority of skintones.

My verdict on Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick:

This is one of my most favourite nude shades out of the lot I have. The texture is very light weight and staying power is pretty decent, around 4-5 hours. The lipstick starts to fade from the inner side of the lips with time. It has a sweet fragrance which does not linger. Icon will compliment both no makeup makeup look & intense smoked eyes look. This shade is specifically meant for medium skin tones as, according to me, it flatters that spectrum a bit more.  Nonetheless, this will suit most people. If you are looking for a comfortable matte, light weight and decent staying power formula without going bold then Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade Icon is definitely a very good choice. It’s on the expensive side but if you are willing to shell out some extra money on a luxurious liquid lipstick then surely go for this shade.
