A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel | review
The beauty of Korean skincare is that they take an ingredient and make a whole product out of it. This is one of the reasons I love Korean skincare products. Today I’ll be talking about A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel. I have been using this every single day for over a month and almost hit the bottom. Read on to know whether it’s in my repurchase list or not.
It retails for around 20$ and we get 50ml product.
Availability: Jolse.com, Yesstyle.com (I got mine from Jolse.com)
You can have a look and understand the entire ingredient list here. The star ingredients showcased are:
Centella Asiatica (70%): calms inflammation, speed wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build collagen, and improves circulation. (1)
Madecassoside (0.5%): is one of the actives derived from Centella Asiatica. It is said to be effective in concentrations as low as 0.1%, has anti-redness & anti-scaling effect. It gives a smooth feeling &also reduces the itching sensation to the skin. (2)
Other notable ingredients are Glycerin (2nd in the list), Niacinamide (4th in the list) & Allantoin.
Fun fact: Madecassoside is an active skin care ingredient derived from the plant Centella Asiatica, a medicinal plant that has been used for over 2000 years in India and in Ayurvedic medicine but it’s Koreans who introduced it to the world by using it in skincare products.
The packaging contains a teal glass jar and a metal screw cap. The jar feels heavy. A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel has a whipped gel formula. It’s a gel which has slight viscosity to it. You can feel right from the touch that it is going to be quite hydrating. With lots of nourishing and healing ingredients, the gel does feel soothing to the skin.
Though A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel feels nourishing, it doesn’t feel greasy at all. It quickly gets absorbed into the skin keeping it matte. If your sunscreen has mild hydrating properties, then this alone can be a part of your AM skincare routine without depriving the skin of its hydration. It didn’t clog my pores or irritate the skin.
My verdict on A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel:
This is an excellent moisturizer during summers and can also be used during winters in conjunction with serums/ampoules. My skin feels very soothed and hydrated. It also works as a primer and gives a smoothening effect. After having used it for more than a month, the texture of my skin is much more smooth & firm. The dullness which used to be there earlier now has diminished. There are times when I’ve just applied this, sunscreen and topped it off with a powder and went to the office. Though meant for dry skin, my dehydrated oily skin loves this.
If you are willing to invest in a good skincare product, I recommend you give A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel a try. Needless to mention, I am definitely repurchasing this.

Love the packaging! Very nice review (:
I’ve never heard of Centella Asiatica & Madecassoside till today and had to Google it. Wow ! Such potent wonderful ingredients ! That too 70% ! Most Indian brands have too much fillers in them. K-products are value for money
