[Jolse] Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream | Review | Oily skin
I am obsessed with korean skincare since quite sometime now. But these days, that obsession has advanced to another level. I have recently hoarded many moisturizers and sleeping packs and totally love pampering my skin with them. Today I am going to be talking about Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream which is meant for dry & tired skin. Read on to know how it fared on my oily-dehydrated skin.
Price: Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream retails for USD20.98 and we get 50ml product.
This has been sent to me by jolse.com for reviewing purpose. You can get your hands on it here.
This is a new launch by the brand Skin&Lab and is specially formulated to retain skin moisture and helps tired skin take rest. At first glance, it seems that it might suit people only with dry skin, but NO! (continue reading to know why I said that!)
The opening is in a little nozzle form which is very helpful in controlling the amount of cream dispensed. This is a perfect packaging for traveling as well.
The texture of the cream is not thick like a paste instead, it feels like a densified version of a lotion. Upon rubbing small beads can be felt that melt into the skin instantly. The cream has an obvious fragrance of something which I am unable to recall.
The key ingredients that are marketed are Fila-Seed*, Ceramide and hyaluronic acid. Fila-Seed replenishes moisture into the skin, ceramide holds the skin together and forms a protective layer over it while hyaluronic acid helps in retaining moisture of the skin. I am unable to locate Fila-seed in the ingredients list while the latter 2 are among the last in the list.
The very second ingredient in the list is Glycerin which is the best friend for people having dry-dehydrated skin. Humectants are known for adding moisture to the skin, retain it and improve skin softness.
One of the main causes of signs of aging is dry skin. Hence, moisturizing the skin should be the first priority irrespective of the skin type. Hence, using creams like Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream helps in keeping the skin moisturized and in turn delaying the process of aging.
The cream can be used both on face and body. I admit I have used it on my dry as hell cuticles as well.
My verdict on Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream:
I wasn’t really sure how my skin was going to react on a cream that is meant for dry skinned people. But right after the first use, I had made my thoughts! Though rich in moisture, Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream doesn’t feel heavy at all. It just melts into the skin and gets absorbed in no time. It definitely leaves behind some shine but that is perfectly okay for me as I use it as a night cream. I am amazed at how my dehydrated skin feels so satisfied after using this cream. Now that I’ve been using this for more than 3 weeks, I can feel the moisture content in my skin has increased and it feels a lot less dehydrated. I am definitely using it as a night treatment during summers and during winters this is jumping into my AM routine as well.
I highly recommend Skin&Lab Barrierderm Intensive Cream to anyone who feels their skin is dehydrated and needs back the moisture. For dry skinned people in general, you are going to love this. For oily skinned people like me, use it as a night cream to replenish the skin with moisture. Also remember, less is more so don’t go overboard with the quantity of the cream. (I admit I get up to a slightly shiny face in the morning but I don’t mind the shine as long as my skin feels hydrated from within.)
