L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm | Swatches & Review | Indian skintone
L’Oreal recently had new launches back to back. First the Le Matte Lip Pens & then these. I went crazy and picked up 2 shades from each range. I wasn’t really expecting much from the Sexy Balms because the shade range is limited and I had no idea about the formula. I simply bought these because I was carried away! (honest confession) Let’s dive together into the review to find out more about L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm.
Price: Rs.499 for 3.39g.
Availability: I got mine from Nykaa. Not sure if these are available at L’Oreal counters yet.
Shades: There are total 10 shades with 5 sheer ones and 5 Bold ones. I got Never Stop (bold) & As If (sheer).
Never stop is a bright coral pink shade which looks a nice pink on my pigmented lips whereas As If is a sheer nude brown.
Packaging: These come in a twist up packaging and colour coded caps. Bold ones have opaque caps while sheer ones have see-through caps.
Texture: L’Oreal Infallible Sexy Balm has a very very creamy texture. Because of the creamy texture, it becomes a little bit difficult to get an even finish. There’s no need of even moisturizing the lips before applying these. The Sexy Balms apply very very glossy.
Pigmentation: The sheer one As If is just like a tinted lip balm providing sheer coverage. Also, the shade will suit those having pinky lips. For people like me, with pigmented lips, this wouldn’t suit much. Anyhow, I still like it. The bold shade Never Stop has better pigmentation, although it doesn’t give an opaque finish. But the colour payoff is quite noticeable.
Staying power: The bold shade stays on for good 4 hours and gradually loses its shine. Also, it feels slightly drying and accentuates the dry patches when worn for long. While the sheer shade stays for hardly 3 hours and doesn’t get dry. (because it fades away before it can dry!). Both of these do transfer and fade significantly after a meal.
My verdict on L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm:
These are perfect for a day when you need a change from drying liquid lipsticks. I reach out for the Sexy Balms especially on weekends (because I prefer matte lipsticks for daily office wear). These moisturize my lips and provide a decent colour payoff. For me, these aren’t that expensive and are completely worth the price. (especially the bold ones). But I wouldn’t be purchasing more shades as I am not highly impressed with the current shade range.

👌🏻👌🏻😁😃😆
I have not seen these yet. Maybe these are launched only in India. You picked up some lovely shades that are looking pretty. Looks like a great everyday color and so inexpensive. 🙂

Yes! These are a nice change from matte lipsticks which I wear almost daily.
Hi Bhumika.. I just came across this review of yours and I googled for this range of lip balms but I couldn’t find the one I wanted. Bold 201 wasted. Could you help me find one please?
Your detailed review is damn helpful.
Thanks my gurl! 🙂
I have pigmented lips so I avoid lip balms usually. But it could’ve been moe pigmented.

Exactly! I really wished the colour payoff was a little more.
Mujhy to dono shades bahut acche lagey , bold wala bahut pyaara hai 👌👌
Bilkul. And, I remember, apko glossy finish pasand hai. Bold wali range me se ek shade le lijiye, apko pasand ayega. 🙂
Loved your honest review hon but I am really into matte as of now. Moreover I have such pigmented lips that I run away from the sheer ones 😐
