The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet review
Hello lovelies! By the time you see this post, I might be attending my seminar in Hyderabad. (Thanks to scheduling feature!) This was a long pending review and I just saved some product in the jar for its sake. I had purchased The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet almost 8 months back. I could’ve reviewed it right after 10 days of using it but I wanted to give it a fair chance before concluding. Now that I am ready, let’s dive into the review.
Price: This retails for ₹1295 and we get 50ml product.
Availibility: The Body Shop products are easily available online as well as in stores.
Packaging: It was the packaging which had attracted me in the first place! It comes in a white frosted glass jar which looks super classy with a white screw lid. The packaging might feel bulky and heavy because of the glass but it looks like a shining trophy sitting right on your makeup shelves.
Texture: It has a mild grainy gel like texture, just like a fruit pulp would have, sans the stickiness. The very faint hint of pink makes it look all the more classy. (By now you might have judged that I have purchased this product just because of its classy look and feeling! True.)☺️
Efficacy: The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost sorbet melts into the skin in no time. It is extremely light weight and leaves no residue or greasiness. It also gives a light cooling effect which is temporary. This is not very hydrating, dry-normal skin might need a moisturizer over it. I, being an oily skinned person, too applied a serum beneath just to keep my skin hydrated.
Claims:
Product Description:An instant cooling sensation for all day hydration. This silky-soft moisturiser hydrates and refreshes skin with an ultra-light light formula. Quenches skin’s thirst Feels like a burst of freshness on skin Enriched with wheatgerm oil Enriched with Community Fair Trade Shea Butter
Instant cooling sensation: Yes!
Silky soft texture: No! The texture is a little on granier side.
Ultra light formula: Yes!
Quenches skin thirst: Not entirely true. It has a mild moisturization property.
Burst of freshness on skin: Absolutely yes!
My verdict on The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet:
I am still smitten by the classy packaging! I mean, just look at it! 👀 But that’s it. It didnot meet my expectations in terms of moisturization. It’s so light that if applied on its own, my skin starts feeling dry within no time! I like mattifying products but don’t want dehydrated skin! Also, the ingredient list didn’t seem to impress me. Infact it has many ingredients which might trigger acne for eg. wheatgerm oil and soybean oil. I got acne when I used the sorbet continuously. After many trials and errors, I came to the conclusion that it doesn’t break me out when used sometimes (2-3 times a week) but it breaks me when I use it every single day! Special thanks to my husband who emptied the tub for me. 🙈
All in all, a nice light weight moisturizer if the ingredients don’t trigger your acne. I will not be purchasing this again, tbh (because of high price and acne causing ingredients). You can give this a try, might suit you!

The packaging looks luxe! But if it may cause acne then I can not try on my acne prone skin. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Omg! I always look forward to Bodyshop Vitamin E range products.. I had used a lotion years back which I quite liked.. This one doesn’t look like the one for my dry skin. Thanks for review!

Your review is on the point. Other day, I had been to The body shop store and the SA handed me this tub saying, it is for dry skin. Thank goodness! I didn’t buy it.

Looks good, texture is fine too but if it aggravates acne on oily skin, this is a skip!
