Hello, ladies!

Today I’m going to talk about a product, much hyped, much talked about and most people’s favourite~The POND’S white beauty BB+ Fairness Cream. Frankly speaking, I never had a thing for this as I am not a BB cream person, but just because many YouTubers and beauty bloggers were raving about how awesome this is, I bought it (the bigger one). I’ll give you my reasons so as to why I dislike this product.

Price: Rs.350 for 50g product.

Packaging: It comes in a tube packaging with a pump! My dislike began right from the packaging itself. Why there has to be a pump when the product has been packed in a squeezable tube? It’s a very weird combination for me.

Shade & Texture: This comes in just one shade! And that shade is not apt for Indian skin tones. I am NC42 and it is still light for me. So, this is not going to suit ladies with deeper skin tones. The consistency is a bit silicony and a bit creamy. It is not blendable easily but with little efforts, it is manageable.

Coverage: This gives light to medium coverage, but it is not buildable. If you wish to build it up, it will become cakey with an uncomfortable feeling.

Staying power: It doesn’t stay for more than 3-4 hours. It neither controls oil for long nor blurs out pores. It just sits on the skin and gives a cakey look.

My experience: I tried using it for a month now just to change my first impression but NO! This has terribly failed to impress me. First of all, the shade is not a match for my skin tone by any means. Had it been lighter, I would’ve managed it with bronzing and stuff but this is not the case. It gives a grayish ghostly cast post applying which cannot be handled with any compact or bronzer. It accentuates my pores and doesn’t control oil on my face. I’ve to touch up with a compact powder every 2-3 hours which only increases the cakiness.

The verdict: I am done trying to find out ways to make this BB cream work for me. I wonder how come this has suited so many people out there! The tube has barely emptied and I am planning to trash this (or give it to my sister/friends if they need).

The only plus point is the SPF30+++ but what’s the use if I am not going to use the product itself! If you still want to try this, I highly suggest you buy the trial pack first!
