Nykaa Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner | Review
These days products cost no less than 500-700₹ irrespective of their category. So Nykaa launching products this affordable is really worthy of appreciation. That being said, I had received Nykaa Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner in the variant Onion & Fenugreek a week before the launch ☺️ and have been trying these ever since. I can now jot down my thoughts finally and share with y’all.
Onion boosts hair growth (we all know this, thanks to our moms who constantly ask us to apply onion oil for long hair) and Fenugreek prevents hairfall by increasing blood circulation. So, the combo definitely sounds magical for hair.
I like the simple packaging with minimalist design and the lavender colour. The fragrance of the combo is lovely and it does linger for some time, which then gradually fades away.
Few brownie points can be added because Nykaa Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner are SLS/SLES Free, Paraben Free, Mineral Oil Free, Cruelty Free, Phthalate Free & No added dye.
Claims:
Promotes hair growth, prevents hairfall, increases blood circulation to the hair follicles for healthy voluminous hair, shine, lustre, intense moisturization to the hair shaft. Let’s see how the combo fared for me. For reference, I have slightly frizzy, wavy hair which tends to become dry and stiff.
SHAMPOO~
The shampoo lathers & cleanses well. I tried it with oiled hair and un-oiled hair and the post effect was almost similar. I didn’t need more amount of shampoo after oiling which is good thing. But, it doesn’t give any moisturizing effect; my hair were clean but not silky (if you know what I mean). The shampoo has a pH of 5-6 which is slightly acidic and ideal for eliminating frizz and dryness.
Price: Rs.399 for 200ml
Best suited for: those having hair that aren’t too dry or frizzy OR those having an oily scalp. Others will have to use a nourishing hair mask post shampoo to add that shine and softness.

CONDITIONER~
The conditioner is slightly thick and is supposed to be applied on hair strands after shampoo. Leave for few minutes and then rinse with plain water. Unless a company specifically tells to apply the conditioner on scalp, never do that. I tried the conditioner with the shampoo from same range and with other shapoos as well ~ in both the scenarios I felt nourishment was a tad bit less for my hair. This didn’t make my hair more frizzy or dry but nourishment could’ve been a bit better IMO. The conditioner has a pH of 4-5 which again is ideal to keep the dryness at bay.
Price: Rs.399 for 180ml
Best suited for: those having naturally smooth shiny manageable hair. Others might need a more nourishing hair mask from time to time.

My verdict on Nykaa Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner:
Given the price range, both the products are pretty decent, specifically the shampoo. I like how it cleanses well without using much product. Can’t really say about the claim of “promoting hair growth and reduce hairfall” because I have been using the combo for just 2 weeks and haven’t noticed any change. People who like to oil their air will like the shampoo because of its cleansing properties because not all shampoos remove oil in just one wash and with less product. All in all, unless you are dealing with specific issues like hair dryness, you give Nykaa Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner a try (provided you use a heavy duty nourishing hair mask from time to time).
