Sephora Lipstories Lipstick | Day 17 | 31DaysOfNude | #swatchOber

Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 17 is Sephora Lipstories Lipstick in the shade Labyrinth City.

Sephora Lipstories Lipstick

Price: Rs.780. This is affordable for a brand like Sephora but they have compromised in packaging. Will get back to it later in the post.

Availability: Sephora products are available in their stores and on sephora.nnnow.com. I wouldn’t recommend to buy them from any other website, especially in India.

Packaging: Like I said earlier, they definitely have compromised in packaging. The bullet is a plastic (not at all luxurious) and the cap is made of cardboard (you heard me right!). The packaging is definitely cute I’d say. The packaging is sturdy enough to not to damage the lipstick bullet. Anyway, I wasn’t expecting this to be a luxurious product from its price point of view.

Texture & pigmentation: Despite being in the Matte family, Sephora Lipstories Lipstick Labyrinth city renders a creamy finish. The lipstick applies ever so smoothly on the lips and provides full coverage in just one swipe. It never sets or dries and transfers to anything that your lips would touch. It has a fragrance which resembles khatta-meetha sherbat.

The shade Labyrinth City is a mixture of pink, brown and peach (It looks pretty mauve in the bullet though) & will suit fair to medium skintones.

My verdict on Sephora Lipstories Lipstick:

I was unknown about this range (I know I live under a rock) until Niranjana (@leo_tales) shared this in one of her posts. I am so glad I went for this range, especially this shade. It suits my skintone very beautifully. It has a very comfortable formula & stays for around 4-5 hours easily and fades evenly. It doesn’t pill or accentuate the lip lines. This shade in particular is perfect for office/college wear without being too conscious. This is my first ever purchase from Sephora & I must say I am pretty impressed. If you are looking for a comfortable lisptick having cream-satin finish and a decent staying power then this is a great option to consider.
