Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick | Day 3 | 31DaysOfNude | #swatchOber

Hello! everyone. Welcome to my series of 31DaysOfNudeLips wherein I shall be sharing, reviewing and swatching 31 different shades of Nude lipsticks. I am (and will be forever) an ardent lover of nude shades. They are so apt for everyday wear, be it college or office. By now, you already know me! (so no more justifications). October is my birthday month and I want to celebrate it by sharing a nude lip shade every single day. Also, I shall not be mentioning those lipsticks which I’ve already reviewed on my blog. Hoping you enjoy this series as much as I do, let’s begin in no particular order. The lipstick that I’ve chosen for Day 2 is Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in the shade Blushing Bali.

Price: Rs.135 for 3.6gm product.

Availability: Nykaa, HOKmakeup, Jabong

Packaging: I must say the packaging is flimsy. The lipstick doesn’t goes inside fully hence you have to be very careful while putting the cap on. The chances are pretty high that you might end up destroying the bullet altogether.

Texture and pigmentation: True to its name, Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick is very very creamy and applies so very smoothly. The pigmentation is pretty sheer but can be built up slightly with a couple of swipes.

The shade Blushing Bali is a beautiful pink with a hint of brown and is shiny. Not glittery but shiny, like a gloss. (The shade & texture reminds me of those lipsticks which my mom and her sisters used to have back in the days).

My verdict on Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick:

I never thought sheer lipsticks would be my thing, because hey! pigmented lips. But I really like this shade. I don’t mind my lips’ pigmentation peeking through a bit. This lipstick is very moisturizing, you don’t even need to apply a lipbalm beneath. It stays on for 2-3 hours, can’t even expect to stay any longer. Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick fades evenly and doesn’t pill towards the inner side of the lips. Needless to say it is not transfer-proof. This shade in particular will suit fair to medium skintones (and slightly beyond). One can also top it off as a gloss, over any other lipstick, will look great too. At this price, this shade is definitely worth a try. For the lip swatch, do visit my Instagram Timeline (@makeup_and_smiles).
