One of the weirdest combinations is having an oily face and a Sahara desert body! And I am one of the weirdos. I know I can’t help the situation hence I am always on a hunt for very moisturizing body lotions. And luckily I stumbled upon Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion. Revealing the secret right in the beginning that it is amazing, let’s jump into the review to more about it.
I have seen Palmer’s products only online as of now (please correct me if I am worng). I got mine from Nykaa during a sale and got two bottles in the proce of one! It’s original MRP is Rs.450 for 250ml lotion and has a shelf life of 5 years! Though, the lotion needs to be finished within one year of opening the bottle.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion has a very thick texture. It is so thick that at one point it becomes very difficult to get the product out of the bottle opening. According to me, a tub packaging would’ve been better in this case. Though not complaining, because I store my bottle upside down hence no hassle of forcing the product out!
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion smells strongly of cocoa. The fragrance is very appealing but is very strong! I don’t mind strong fragrance but sensitive noses might be affected. The aroma lingers for a while post application which I personally adore!
True to the name, the very first ingredient (after water) is Cocoa extract! (when will Indian brands learn this!) There are many highly moisturizing ingredients on the list. Thes body lotion is free from Parabens.
Brownie points to Palmer’s for not testing their products on animals.
Though thick, the lotion applies easily and gets absorbed quickly. It does leave a little greasy effect initially but within a couple of minutes that feeling subsides and you are left with soft moisturized skin. The skin stays moisturized for the entire day, even during cold weather!
It claims of smoothing out the marks but I guess that would take a long time hence I can’t really confirm the claim. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion will suit those with skin medical conditions like very dry to eczema-prone skin.
My verdict on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion:
I am on the verge of emptying my first bottle and I am so glad I already have a backup! The body lotion is so moisturizing that my dry skin loves it to bits. I haven’t faced any flakiness or dry patches after using this body lotion. Plus that cocoa aroma that lingers for so long… aah! This might be a bit too heavy for hot humid weather but nothing will beat this during winters. This will suit not only dry skinned people but also normal to oily as it is gets absorbed and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy in the long run. I have thoroughly enjoyed it not only as a body lotion but also as a hand cream & a foot cream. I highly advise grabbing this during Nykaa sale to get the best of both worlds! Btw, what’s your favourite body lotion at present?
