Makeup Revolution Concealer | Conceal & Define | Review

Makeup Revolution concealer took the market by storm with their release as they were claimed to be a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape. I haven’t tried the latter but definitely understand the hype around it. I quickly googled for swatches and confidently went for the shade C11. Let’s dive into the review to know more about this concealer. Also, don’t forget to watch the application video that I’ve linked below.

Price: The concealer retails for Rs.695 and we get 3.4ml product.

Shades: Makeup Revolution concealer comes in 18 shades. I got the shade C11 which works perfectly for my skintone.

I was confused between C10 & C11. C10 is warm toned but I felt it’d be a tad bit light for my undereyes hence I went for C11 which has peachy tones which (thankfully) is a great match and also brightens up my undereyes.

Availability: As of now, Makeup Revolution concealer are exclusively available on their website hokmakeup.com.

Packaging: The concealer comes in a tube packaging with a short-thick wand (which resembles a lot to the shape tape) and an equally thick applicator. The applicator is quite good and applies the product easily. But there is no restriction on the tube opening because of which chances are pretty much high that you get more product on the wand. (I hope you understood my concern here) Anyway, I love the rose gold feel to it, so luxe!

Texture & Coverage: Makeup Revolution concealer had a medium consistency which is neither too thick nor thin. It blends in flawlessly and provides medium (and above) coverage. I never tried building it up as my undereye area has fine lines and I don’t want to accentuate those by applying more product.

Staying power: The concealer stays put the entire day. It doesn’t crease (when a proper setting powder is used) neither does it fade. It looks even at the end of the day and you need a makeup remover to get it off from the face. It doesn’t make my undereyes feel dry.

My verdict on Makeup Revolution concealer:

Though I use my Wet n Wild photo focus concealer for daily use, I have saved the Makeup Revolution concealer for special occasions and outings. It conceals the darkness around the eye area and provides a brightening effect. I love how it feels under my eyes. I set it with loose powder from Innisfree and the finish I get is flawless. The concealer doesn’t crease even when worn for hours. I’ve even tried the Lakme 9to5 Primer+Matte compact for setting and it has also worked amazingly well.  I’ve filmed a demonstration on how it applies below. Do check it out.

If you are looking for an affordable concealer that works amazingly well in covering darkness around eyes, then I highly recommend you the Makeup Revolution concealer. It is less hydrating than the Wet n Wild one but is definitely not drying at all.
