L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pen | Review and swatches | Indian skintone

‘I have enough lipsticks’said no woman ever & I completely agree! No matter how many lipsticks I buy, I start drooling instantly I see a new launch. (guilty as charged!) Recently I picked up few new launches at Nykaa and majority of them were lipsticks (needless to mention). Today I shall be sharing my thoughts on L’oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pens. Read on to find why these have become my instant absolute favourites.

L'Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pen

Price: Rs.750 for each Lip Pen and we get 0.9g of product (so less for the price!)

Shades: There are 5 shades at present in this range and I got 2 of them.

Mad for Matte: a beautiful pure red

She’s so Matte: a gorgeous nude (mix of brown and pink)

Packaging: L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pens come in twist-up crayon packaging. I am loving it. Also, the pens are colour coded to the exact shades which I absolutely adore. Plus, their sleek packaging has my heart. (will have your’s too!)

Texture: These have a creamy texture which glides on smoothly without leaving any shine. Also, these are absolutely matte in finish. The formula is very comfortable, not at all drying on the lips. The colour payoff is also excellent. A couple of swipes are enough for any pigmented lips.

L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pens have no fragrance! Absolutely none. I miss the sweet vanilla fragrance though.

L'Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip PenStaying power: These are super long lasting (super duper!). I have tried both of the shades for more than 8 hours and these didn’t budge or smudge or fade. These didn’t dry out with the passage of time, unlike other matte lipsticks tend to do. The comfort level remains constant throughout the wear time. These lip pens transfer slightly, very mild. Means if your lips just touch something, these won’t transfer much but if you press your lips hard against something, then a visible transfer will be there. Also, their transferability reduces with the passage of time.

L'Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip PenMy verdict on L’Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip Pens:

I am in love with these. I have been wearing the shade She’s so Matte non-stop the entire week. It is a perfect shade for everyday office wear. These have an amazing formula, matte finish and unbelievable staying power. The formula doesn’t crumble on my lips nor settles into lip lines. The finish stays even throughout the day. These don’t fade from the inner side of the lips as well. There’s nothing more to ask for! Apart from the price versus the quantity part, I am unable to find any con with these.

Any lipstick looks and stays better on exfoliated lips.

L'Oreal Paris Le Matte Lip PenDo I recommend these? Do I even need to mention! Hell yes. Do grab at least one of these and I bet, you won’t stop at just one. I wish L’Oreal launches more shades so that I can grab them too.

Lip swatches will be on my Instagram probably on Saturday. I tried for the entire week but just couldn’t get the proper lighting to show the exact colour on my lips and face. I’ll update the same here as well. Hope you guys don’t mind. And that’s the reason I didn’t post yesterday (to get one more day for lip swatches) but in vain.
