Nykaa So Matte! Lipstick – Naughty Nude | Winter series

Hello my lovelies!😘😘 Finally it’s Sunday and I’ve managed to get some free time to post. (perks of being a banker!)πŸ˜…

Winters are all about bold colours, be it lipsticks or eye makeup. But let’s not forget our nude shades which not only compliment smoked out eyes but also add subtle hint of shade to our daily makeup.

I got my hands on Nykaa So Matte lipstick last month and I’ve been wanting to do this post since then! So, let’s dive in to the review:

Shade: Naughty Nude, 11th out of 12 in the Matte collection (I know there are several other shades available but I am a nude shade sucker, so definitely this shade had to be in my collection!) It is not exactly a nude shade, I mean the colour is on the subtle side of the spectrum and has pinkish and peach hues to it. I absolutely love the colour and wear it to my office almost every other day. It compliments my complexion very well (which is NC 42 in MAC and 322 in Maybelline Fit Me range).

Price: Just realizing that the price is nowhere mentioned on the package. I tossed and turned and read every single letter on that cute pink cardboard box but was not able to find the price! Anyway, these lispticks cost Rs399 each and you get 4.2g of product with a shelf life of 3 years.

In flash

Texture: It has an amazing formula which glides on lips so smoothly and evenly that you shall fall in love with it right from the first swipe! Jee haan.😍 Though it is supposed to be matte but it is not at all drying. It sits comfortably on your lips without settling in to the lines. It has a sweet fragrance which resembles mostly to vanilla. It gives a satin-velvet finish.

Pigmentation: It is amazing when it comes to pigmentation. One swipe and my, otherwise pigmented, lips look flawless! I am super impressed with its colour payoff.

Staying power: Like I’ve already mentioned earlier, it has a satin finish and not a matte one. So definitely, it transfers. A LOT! One sip of tea/coffee and you’ll see your lippie stain on the cup. πŸ’‹ Like literally! So, if you skip drinking and eating, it stays put for the longest time ever. Also, it fades evenly leaving nicely stained lips which look presentable. This makes it easy to remove at the end of the day, which means you need not rub your lips with heavy makeup remover to get rid of your lipstick.

Packaging: The best part, its packaging is amazing! The black matte case gives a luxe feeling to it. Also, the best part is the way its cap shuts. OMG! I am in absolute love. I tried to portray it in a short clip below. Do have a look.

Claim Check:

Long lasting: Yes, it does stay long provided you do not drink or eat at all. 😷

Vitamin E enriched: Yes, though it is a matte lipstick but it is not at all drying.

Intense colour: Yes, it has superb pigmentation to cover any kind of lips and make them look flawless.

Lip swatch in natural light (evening).

The verdict: This is a must have lipstick in your collection, this shade in particular. It is such a unique shade that will go with any kind of clothing or occasion. Totally totally versatile. Pair it up with a smokey eye or just by itself, it will always compliment your makeup! Perfect for daily office wear.πŸ’„

Will I recommend this? Haven’t you figured out that by now! Absolutely Yes.

Sorry for such a long post, but it was worth it, right? Which is your favourite shade from the lot? Do let me know.πŸ€—

Amazing shade di!!! And it looks so good on your complexion. I was confused between taup thrill and naughty nude because both are nudes but now after reading your review I will go for naughty nude. Thank you for reviewing it in this detail. 😘
