Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer review (Plus a secret & a fact!)

Hello my sweethearts! It was a tedious week because of which I was unable to post. But now, that things have sorted out, I am back with the latest launch from Lakmé. I first came to know about the primer on an Instagram page (which I don’t remember) and a couple of days later, I saw in in one of the videos of Youtuber Shreya Jain (@sjlovesjewellery). I knew I had to buy it! 😍 So I went ahead and bought it the same day.

Fact: How did Lakmé got it’s name?

It was named after the French opera Lakmé, which itself is the French form of Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth) who is renowned for her beauty.

Lakmé is expanding their product range, their latest addition being the makeup primer in Absolute range. I have a soft corner for Lakmé as I’ve grown up using its products! My first kajal, my first eyeliner, first compact, first mousse-all were from Lakmé! 🤗 So this primer had to be in the list. I was super excited to try it and let you guys know the results. Let’s jump into the review:

Price: INR 650 for 30g of product.

Packaging: It comes in a tube packaging similar to that of their CC cream sans its colour. It is compact, spill proof and travel friendly.

Claim: Let’s have a look at the claim this primer promises:

Texture: It has a creamish texture with consistency on a medium side. It has a little fruity scent ( I think!) 😜 which is not at all over empowering and will not bother sensitive noses. The texture is similar to Revlon photoready primer, with a thinner consistency. The effect  of both primers is also kind of similar. It will suit all skin types.

The verdict: I’ve used this primer for over a week now. It has the perfect texture that glides on easily. True to it’s claim, it indeed blurs out the pores and other tiny imperfections, at the same time it also gives a little brightening glow. Lakmé primer plus my Loréal mat magique compact has become my daily routine. Trust me, just these two are enough!

After using this primer I’ve noticed that my makeup ( i.e. my compact) stays for long. Also, it helps in keeping my face shine free for the entire day. Now, I would like to share the secret– It does not control oil, yes you heard me right! When you touch your nose, it’s going to be oily but somehow it prevents the shine from appearing, I don’t know how! Anyway, it serves the purpose and I am happy with the result. I’d keep it for everyday use. 🤗

Will I recommend? Absolutely, just go and grab your primer today itself! 👍🏻
